Just when you thought that their summer building process of the team was over and it was now more about gelling the superstars in, Real make the headlines again. This time it is for the A.C Milan starlet Pato and reportedly the fee for the player is said to be around the 60 million Euro mark. It is still a doubt whether this move will happen in the January window, but it is clear that Pato is one of Real’s top transfer targets.Pato has been in brilliant form this season for Milan and was instrumental in the Milan’s win over Real Madrid in the Champions League group match at the Bernabeu. I feel Milan will be very reluctant to sell their star man, especially immediately after they sold Kaka but it is a well known that very few can resist the attraction of Real Madrid. I don’t think Pato will also want to move this season to Real and it will mean him sacrificing his chance to impress in the Champions League and most importantly the competition for places is very high at Real with Raul, Higuain and Benzema already available as striking options.
